I'm Sixteen (June 30, 2018)

I’m sixteen.
I’m afraid.
I ask questions,
Seeking answers not all could give.
Up all night,
In a dark silence.
Years ago,
A child,
Ten,
Bright as an amber,
Not afraid of anything.
But times have changed.
I’m sixteen.
Surrounded by so many people,
Yet strangely alone.
Lost in space,
Hoping for someone to find me.
